New Mexico Federation of Women's clubs records, 1911-1991.

Summary: Collection consists of the records of the New Mexico Federation of Women's Clubs, 1920-1991. Included are administrative records, financial records, reports, art department materials, contest materials, and miscellaneous material. Administrative records include the organization's constitution and bylaws; the minutes, treasurer's reports, and president's reports, and annual brochures concerning the history of the organization, 1911-1988. Financial records consist of handbooks and directories, a ledger of cash receipts and disbursement (1962-1976), and miscellaneous records pertaining to the Harriet Donoho Scholarship Fund and various other programs. Reports, from local clubs throughout New Mexico, discuss their yearly activities and plans for the future, 1951-1991. Included are documents from the Santa Fe, New Mexico Woman's Board of Trade and Library Association. Arts department materials include handbooks, explaining the objectives of the department, questionnaires, reports, and correspondence. Contest materials pertain to the Bicentennial essay winners (1976-1978) and include their winning essays. Miscellaneous materials consist of plaques of merit received by the organization for its involvement in helping the needy in the United States and overseas (1958- 1960), the organization's bulletins, correspondence, and reports. Yearbooks, convention programs, and bulletins were added in January of 2000 covering the years 1911-1990.

The New Mexico Federation of Women's Clubs was established in 1911, as the state level organization of the General Federation of Women's Clubs.
